Squee, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is out x3 So far, it's awesome. Granted, it is weird that all the characters aren't giant pixely things, and can speak, but I suppose that's only because I didn't play the later games. It's great that everything's EXACTLY the same as it used to be - and the fact you can swap between the old and new versions with the touch of a button is awesome. <3
I really like the style they've done it in. :3 The backgrounds are done very nicely - and faithfully. Although for some reason, Guybrush doesn't seem quite right to me. Then again, the first time around, he was literally a few pixels, so I suppose my imagination filled in the blanks. But most of the characters fit the bill to how I pictured them looking, and sounding. Especially the shopkeeper, he's just as grumpy as I thought. Oh, and the music's superb. Anyone who can find me the new soundtrack for sale gets a biscuit from me.
Currently practising swordfighting. It's frustrating that I know the correct responses - yes I'm a loser - but Guybrush needs to learn it... Stole the fabulous Idol, but I haven't found the treasure, or fought the Sword Master (obviously...).

I played the demo for Launch of the Screaming Narwhal too, and I may consider ordering that once I've finished this.

Nothing much else to say for now... last volunteering session tomorrow, for which I need to dress as a pirate again. At work two days this week AND next, hooray! And there's a job fair next Wednesday, which I'll be going to fo sho.

It's the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing on Monday. Don't get smartass and tell me it was a hoax. Damn conspiracy theorists. I suppose they'll tell me Elvis is up there on his Nazi Moon Base next.
